At Hancock Lumber and Mainely Trusses, we pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our employees and customers. A huge part of our success comes from the longevity of our team and the individual commitment to learn, grow, and advance. We are proud to announce our most recent internal advancement story: Rick Ross!
Rick was promoted to Shop Foreman at Mainely Trusses on 1/1/19. He replaced long-term shop foreman, Karl Livollen, after 30 years with the company. Rick joined Mainely Trusses in 2004 as an Assembler. His deep knowledge of the operations has been invaluable and he will tell you he best loves the family atmosphere and working with the team. He feels they are a close group and he values his relationships with his co-workers!
Rick brings solid skills from his time in the US Army and is a disciplined individual who gained supervisory experience from the military. He also worked for five years with the railroad. Rick is looking forward to this opportunity and working with the team to both gain efficiencies and to grow the business moving forward. Congratulations, Rick!!
Last February, Hancock Lumber welcomed Mainely Trusses to the Team when they acquired the market-leading roof and floor truss manufacturing facility based in Fairfield, Maine. Two successful Maine businesses have joined forces, adding a unique product line to Hancock’s manufacturing portfolio. The addition of Mainely Trusses makes Hancock Lumber the first retailer in Maine to own and operate their own roof and floor truss manufacturing facility.
Throughout this past year, Hancock Lumber and Mainely Trusses has worked hard to connect with builder needs in the current market by providing Hancock Time Savings Solutions, which offers component manufacturing solutions to speed up framing at the job site. Our wall panels and trusses are helping to keep builders on or ahead of schedule!
