Our partners at the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine (RLDAM) and New Hampshire Retail Lumber Association (NHRLA) have announced exciting scholarship opportunities and deadlines, offering $1,000 and $2,000 respectively to awardees. Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine (RLDAM) Scholarships

Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine (RLDAM) is awarding up to five $1,000 merit scholarships to support the following education pursuits:
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree
- Vocational or Trade School Training
- Continuing education (five years post-secondary), including vocational, degree, or certificate programs
Eligibility
- Must be an employee or family member (child (step/grand), sibling, parent, spouse) of an employee who works at a location (within the State of Maine) of a Retail or Associate member company in good standing with the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine (RLDAM).
- Or, must be a student enrolled or enrolling in a construction-related field of study at a Maine Community College.
Evaluation Process
- Applications will only be reviewed upon full completion. The RLDAM Scholarship Committee will review all completed applications that are received no later than April 30. Scholarships will be finalized and awarded by June 28, 2024.

New Hampshire Retail Lumber Association (NHRLA) Scholarships
- Director: Stasha MacDougall, Hancock Lumber North Conway
New Hampshire Retail Lumber Association (NHRLA) is awarding up to four $2,000 merit scholarships and the Ron Schuler Sr. Family Scholarship for a total value of $1,000.
Eligibility
- Applicant must meet the below eligibility requirements and be recommended.
- Any employee or family member of an employee who works for a dealer or associate member company of the New Hampshire Retail Lumber Association (NHRLA), or for an associate member company of the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association (NRLA), that is also an NHRLA sponsor, may apply.
- The applicant must be a recent high school graduate, a graduating high school senior who is college bound, or a student in a technical school or currently attending college or graduate school.
- Past recipients of this award are eligible to reapply for future consideration.
Evaluation Process
- The NHRLA Scholarship Committee will review all applications. An important consideration for the Schuler Scholarship is financial need. Eligible candidates must submit their Student Aid Index (SAI) as calculated in the FASFA application, in addition to the NHRLA Scholarship application. The recipients will be notified by June 28, 2024. Applications will only be reviewed upon full completion.
