Please join us in congratulating Mike Boulet who has been promoted to the role of Regional General Manager, Component Manufacturing. With this management change, long-time Mainely Trusses Logistics Manager, Kevin Wood, earned a promotion, becoming General Manager at Mainely Trusses!

Mike Boulet has worked at Mainely Trusses since 1993, a business his father started and ran for many years. After taking over the family business in 1996, Mike never looked back and continued to grow the company, evolve the business, and honor his father’s legacy. Hancock Lumber and Mainely Trusses joined forces in 2018 when Hancock Lumber acquired the company.
In 2024, Mike was awarded the Retail Lumber Dealers Association of Maine’s Lifetime Achievement award for his incredible contributions to the industry. In addition to supporting Mainely Trusses in Fairfield, Mike will also oversee wall panel manufacturing in Windham. Beyond that, Mike is helping lead the strategic planning and research for the 100,000 square foot components manufacturing facility to be built on the Casco Campus.

Mike’s experience and expertise in manufacturing make him the perfect fit to manage Team Hancock’s component manufacturing—our focus is on growth, adding value, and building out services for our contractor partners.

“For me transitioning to my role as Regional GM has allowed me to successfully pass the torch at MT to a group that I strongly believe is well qualified and prepared to lead MT into the future. The Regional GM role has allowed me to focus my energies on helping Hancock Lumber expand into greater component manufacturing capabilities. The development of a new manufacturing facility for wall panels is extremely interesting to me and is challenging me to use my existing experience in component manufacturing, while learning about new technologies, processes, and the machinery required to successfully execute this venture. I am able to work in a manor that is more in line with my personal goals and allows me greater flexibility with my schedule and location.”

Kevin Wood started with Mainely Trusses in 1993 as a fabricator, eventually taking on other responsibilities as a sawyer, forklift operator, and helping in maintenance. In 2004, Kevin was promoted to Shipping Manager overseeing all logistics for the Fairfield, ME location. Then, in 2017, he was given the opportunity to work alongside Mike Boulet helping with daily operations and production management, as well as working with Dave Viens and the talented truss design team coordinating order fulfilment.
“Taking on the role of General Manager at Mainely Trusses has been a significant milestone in my career. It has given me the opportunity to expand my leadership skills and offer invaluable opportunities for growth both personally and professionally, allowing me to contribute meaningfully to the company’s success.”
