As we celebrate our 175th Anniversary, we pause to remember and commemorate all of the moments that got us here. This month we took a look back at a Roots + Branches issues from Februarys past. What we found? Archival photos from Hancock Lumber during the Ice Storm of ’98. Hancock Lumber was also celebrating a milestone birthday that year – 150! What else in ’98? For all our skiers out there, Hancock Lumber had nearly completed the work of the Grand Summit Hotel at Sunday River. As the publication noted, Hancock Lumber supplied or had been involved with shipping most of the plywoods, fir beams, lumber, Hancock pine, pressure treated lumber, skylights, sidings, roofing, specialty items and in excess of one million square feet of sheetrock. Check out the full issue below and take a walk down Hancock memory lane. Cheers to 175!
