On May 5th our team in Saco gathered to celebrate Jim Foster, Hancock Lumber’s longest tenured employee. Following the retirement of 44-year Hancock Lumber veteran Toby Hammond, the torch was passed to Jim. A member of Team Hancock for 43 years, Jim is now working alongside the youngest CounterPro team at our newly opened Saco location. Here, Jim is mentoring and selflessly stewarding our youngest crew, passing along his decades of knowledge and experience. Our Saco team is in great hands with a mentor like Jim on the team and sharing all he’s learned in his 43 years of service!
Regional General Manager Steve Rickert and Store Leader Rob Riley presented Jim with the golden hammer award, followed by a celebratory lunch. One of Jim’s co-workers, Bobby Morissette, commented on this honor, “Well deserved, Jim. I was blessed with the opportunity to work with you for four years in Brunswick. You taught me a lot and performed at the highest level. We had a lot of fun together. You’re not only a great employee, but also a great friend!”
Thank you, Jim, for your 43 years of service and for being such an important part of Team Hancock!
