New Kennebunk Facility Kick-Off Celebration a Huge Success | Earlier this month over 200 Hancock Lumber employees, families, customers, vendor partners, and community members joined Team Hancock Kennebunk to celebrate their new facility, located at 95 York Street.
After nine months of site work, building demos, and constructing a 30,000 square foot facility, the new space is open for business featuring a built-to-deliver drive-thru lumberyard and warehouse, an interactive hardware store, and a modern, fresh kitchen and bath design showroom.
Company President, Kevin Hancock, commented on the project, “We are very excited about our new Kennebunk store. The project was three years in planning, and we feel the facility represents a fresh, modern approach to retailing and distributing building materials. The store is designed around people. We wanted the facility to be a great place to work, a great place to plan projects and select building materials, and a fast and easy facility for picking up products.”
Hancock Lumber’s new Kennebunk facility is designed for builders, do-it-yourselfers, and homeowners alike to easily and efficiently shop our store. As you enter the new hardware store, there is a large, open showroom enabling easy access to products and assistance from the staff, including hundreds of new SKUs being offered. Just off the showroom, customers can walk directly into the indoor lumberyard where products are stored in a bright, clean, modern drive-thru facility; all building materials are now stored undercover, protected from the elements. Connected to the main showroom is the Home Again design center, featuring professional kitchen designers and a showroom full of inspiration to dream and design your new space. The logistics office for shipping and receiving product is situated at the rear of the facility for efficient and accurate deliveries.
Mark Hopkins, Hancock Lumber’s retail division COO added, “Maine has so many great contractors who base their reputations on quality and efficiency. Our store is designed to support their activity and become a place that can link the material supplier, the builder, and the homeowner. Hancock Lumber is proud to partner with York County’s finest builders and provide this new facility as an extension of their business.”
