Congratulations to Erin Plummer, Hancock Lumber’s Marketing + Communications Director, for being honored as one of ProSales Magazine’s Four Under 40! The ProSales Four Under 40 Class of 2016 represents the best of the next generation of leaders in building material supply and highlights employees under the age of 40 in the LBM industry who demonstrate potential to lead the industry in years to come.
Company President, Kevin Hancock, emailed the company with the news and commented, “Under Erin’s guidance our company has emerged as a marketing and communications leader in our industry. I am very happy for Erin! This award is well deserved and she represents us all. As Erin often says, ‘EVERYONE is involved in marketing…everyone contributes to the company’s brand.’ Congratulations, Erin!!”
In the role as marketing + communications director, Erin is responsible for brand management, customer relationship activity and driving sales, connecting to the community, upholding the company’s 166-year old reputation, and most importantly communicating internally to employees and externally to customers and potential customers.
“It is a true honor to be recognized as one of ProSales Magazine’s ‘Four Under 40’ recipients. Some of the hardest working and most talented people I’ve encountered are part of this industry. Our work goes way beyond the building materials… this business is about relationships and fostering partnerships in meaningful ways. Our industry helps build homes, commercial spaces, educational institutions, communities, and more—spaces people work in, live in, build careers in, create memories in, and love. This is a business about people, people who have vision and the skills to keep building America. This is what inspires me.” – Erin Plummer
As part of the award, the winners will speak as part of a panel on next-generation leaders at this year’s ProSales 100 Conference in New Orleans. That panel will be moderated by ProSales assistant editor Curtis Sprung and cover the opportunities and possible problems that the LBM industry will face in years to come.
We extend our sincerest congratulations to the other 3 recipients earning this honor: Doug Carlson, vice president of sales and operations for Drexel Building Supply; John Perna, general manager for Hamilton Building Supply; and Cory Garrison, area vice president southwest region for SRS Distribution.
