Hancock Lumber’s Bethel Sawmill is proud to be a part of an upcoming fundraising event in which Donna Harris, from the Phoenix Karate Academy in Auburn, will attempt a Guinness Book World Record. After losing a dear friend to breast cancer, Donna will aim to raise money for Project Pink, an organization that supports cancer patients and their families. On October 4th, Donna will go for the record for most pine boards broken by hand, by a female, in a minute. Since there is no current female record, she’s going big to break the current male record, at 359 boards broken . As a part of a fundraising effort in 2013, she broke 294 in a minute. Hancock Lumber will be milling the pine wood blocks to go toward the cause this Friday and is happy to donate to this unique event.
